Access Arts Link link

ACCESS ARTS LINK is a community program supported by Interweave Arts, Queen Victoria Museum & Art Gallery and TAFE, for the purpose of encouraging the integration of people with disabilities into the creative, artistic and social life of Tasmanian communities. It aims to do this through:

  1. A twice-weekly studio-based program staffed by practising artists who provide support and assistance to artists with disabilities who wish to continue to develop their artistic skills;
  2. An ongoing exhibitions program where work is promoted locally, nationally and internationally across a wide variety of exhibiting contexts including public institutions and commercial galleries; and
  3. Extending services to include the provision and auspicing of activities in other locations, consultancies in program development and exhibition design, corporate rental of work, and the facilitation of seminars and lectures related to art and disability

The Studio is a good place to hang out, I would recommend it to my friends and my support worker’s clients. I have been coming here for 3 years and my favourite medium is markers.

I come here because I like doing art and to catch up with everyone. I would recommend this place to everyone with and without disabilities. I have been coming here since 2007 and I love to use watercolour.
